Foothills Flyers 17th Annual Heli Rally
Strathmore, Alberta  August 11, 12, 2001



Comments from some people that attended:

The field was looking great thanks to Doug & Donette Hyslop & Peter Brown.   The new Kids play center was enjoyed by the youngsters.  John Stueck brought a new windsock.  There were 33 registered pilots, from as far north as Grande Prairie, east from Saskatchewan, south from Nanimo, and west from Vancouver.  Trevor Zaharichuk did some inverted flying as well as loops and rolls, as did some of the other experienced pilots.  Beginners had lots of help from most of the experienced pilots.   Fun was had by all.  There were 5 Heli crash's, and one small electric fixed wing.  BBQ was a great success, not much left over.  John Stueck, Al Horne, & Peter Brown manned the BBQs.  Garett Willington was able to relax and enjoy the rally more this year.  Barb Brown, Donette Hyslop, & Brenda Shields worked the Concession.  Pilot Draws went smooth, Peter Brown won the Fury.  Everyone enjoyed the night flying and the camp fire Saturday night.  I took lots of Digital Video and converted some of it to still pics for the web site.
